Humidifier Repair & Maintenance Service

How Your Home’s Relative Humidity Impacts You

If relative humidity (RH) is too low, your indoor air will absorb water from the wood in your home, causing it to shrink.

When relative humidity is too low:

When relative humidity is too high:

Excessive static shock
Dry, itchy skin
Sore eyes and throat
Problems with nasal passages and airways
Structural damage such as woodwork, hard wood floors, and crown molding
Impact on your energy bill
Dry air can make you feel colder causing you to increase the temperature
Wood cabinets, drywall, hardwood floors and furniture will take on moisture, causing it to swell
Your home may be damp and susceptible to mold and mildew

Modulating models use a multistage gas valve and the same variable speed blower motor as the two stage. The gas valve can have as many as 60 stages.

The temperature in the house is monitored electronically and the gas is adjusted accordingly with the variable speed motor changing speed as dictated by the system.

These furnaces reach efficiency of 98%

The two stage variable and modulating furnaces are designed to move heated air with the lowest effort, through constant, low-volume airflow. This means the rooms furthest from the furnace will be warmer than with a single stage furnace at the same temperature setting.

Whole House Humidifier
If this sounds familiar, you may wish to consider a whole house dehumidifier.

Optimal relative humidity can also help you stay warmer at cooler temperatures. That means you can lower your thermostat and save energy, thereby lowering your heating costs.
