Coronavirus (COVID-19) – Service Update

Safety has always been and remains our first priority when it comes to the customers and employees of Appleby Systems.
As the governments of Ontario released the sector specific list of guidelines to protect customers and workers, Appleby Systems will be making necessary changes to adapt to the new reality.
We will continue to screen incoming calls to ensure our customers have not recently travelled and to ensure your household is illness or flu free. Our service technicians will be following the guidelines by wearing facial protection, gloves or the use of hand sanitizer. They will also continue the practise of social distancing. We ask that our customers remain a 6 foot distance from our technicians or for further protection, remain upstairs while we service or maintain your HVAC equipment.

The governments of Ontario & Quebec deemed our HVAC industry as an essential business as we provide products and services critical to the needs of the public. The government included institutional, residential, commercial and industrial maintenance on the list of essential workplaces not subject to enforced shut-down.
Our communities rely on HVAC equipment and while the government advises maintenance services including urgent repair and maintaining the safety of HVAC equipment crucial, we will continue to provide emergency services only until further notice. This is to enforce provisions in keeping our customers and employees healthy & safe.
We are keeping the lines of communication open with our customers and our office will remain open for business however to protect yourself, our technicians and office staff, we will now restrict customers from entering our office. If you require filters or indoor air quality parts and accessories, you can place your order by calling us or emailing through our website at or at email@example.com. We will gladly provide the parts by leaving them outside our facility upon your arrival or if you are unable to pick the filters or parts up, we will drop them off to your front door step.
We will continue to screen incoming emergency calls to ensure there are no signs of illness in the home or to ensure customers have not travelled recently. If you are a customer on our HVAC Protection Plan (HPP) that includes insurance on your equipment, we will renew your plan and provide the maintenance at a later date.
Our sales department is still available for any quotations required, but again will be adhering to the guidelines of keeping the public safe.

For your safety and the safety of our employees, we are taking all the necessary precautions and closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation from public health authorities. We have followed the recommendations and implemented numerous changes within our firm to focus on our highest priority – the health and safety of our clients and employees.
With the rapid change and development of the Covid 19 virus, we have decided to cancel all maintenance and non-emergency situations until April 5, 2020 or until further notice.
To protect yourself and our field technicians, we will be screening incoming calls to ensure our customers have not travelled recently and ensure no one in the household is showing minor signs of the flu or illness. We are still accepting emergency service calls and sales calls and will provide HVAC proposals over the phone should you the consumer, prefer our sales specialist not to make a home visit. We can get a general idea of the home with Google maps.
All of our employees have stock of disinfecting wipes and cleaning supplies. The field technicians will not be shaking our customers hands and will maintain a social distance.
Appleby Systems hopes this will be a short-lived situation and through the adherence to government social distancing and heightened hygiene measures, it will not last long.
